This is me...The woman behind the computer...
I have always had a real passion for all things creative and still in nappies you couldn’t keep me away from crayons and poster paints. Luckily for all I have since discovered that actual paper and canvas is a much preferred location for my artistic experimentation than the living room wallpaper – and gets me into a lot less trouble!
After studying art, photography and media studies I had some years’ experience working with a professional photographer, local television station and e-business company. During this time my private work crossed a wide spectrum of styles focusing on painting, jewellery making and photography (including quite a number of commissions from both corporations and private individuals).
I have a real drive to experiment with new media and materials but my true passion has always been graphic design. Thus, I moved to Cambridge as a mature student to study for a Graphic Design BA (hons) degree and have never looked back since!
I hope you enjoy looking through my portfolio – hopefully you will agree that I have progressed considerably from hand impressions on the lounge wall (my Mum does anyway!)
“Jooles has that relatively rare (in my experience) quality in the world of designer types, of combining creative flair with commercial awareness.
She listens to briefs and produces practical creative solutions to budget and within deadlines.
A pleasure to work with.”
