Youth Culture Campaign …
Aimed at Junior bystanders.

A bystander is, ‘a person who does not become actively involved in a situation where someone else requires help’.  We have all been a ‘bystander’ at some stage in our lives but often, especially with children, it is because we are too scared that something might happen to us as a consequence.

My ambient media campaign was aimed at encouraging Junior School children who have witnessed bullying to tell a teacher.  I wanted to introduce almost subliminal messages into places that weren’t necessarily overlooked by others, where children might go to or be on their own.  Places where they could contemplate the message without too much intrusion like eating their lunch, in the toilet or drinking at the fountain.
